Usually wear a barbell as shown but I have a very large tribal dream ring (10mm thick, 25mm internal diameter) that is fun!

I would like to see more pics of that.

I've recently stretched the piercing to 12mm so I need to buy a new ring etc...

Short answer: Over 6 years.

Long answer: It started as a self pierced PA at 4 gauge. I am not fond of scalpeling so I machined my own needle because at the time, and even now, little is available in terms of needles or tools to pierce at that size. Within 18 months I had stretched the piercing substantially and wore a 000 gauge curved barbell however as the piercing streches easily especially with the weight of heavy large gauge piercing it continued to stretch unintentionally to the extent I could just fit a AA battery through it. At this point I decided not to wear jewellery regularly, only wearing the barbells when required. After a year or so of this I decided I wanted to convert it to an apadravya and I extended the piercing into the top of the glans at 10 gauge but I was dissatisfied for a few reasons and I abandoned the piercing within a week or two. I finally repierced it at 8 gauge about 3 years ago however it was significantly more difficult as I needed to traverse a dense fibrous scar from the previous attempt. I commenced stretching the 8 gauge apadravya after about 4 weeks and I managed to stretch it to 4 gauge in the next 6 months after which I rested it for almost a year. At this point I stretched it relatively rapidly going up one gauge per week till I reached 0 gauge. Since then I stretched it three further times to it's current 12mm size.

If someone was trying to achieve the exact same thing and was dedicated from the start, I expect that in all one can (relatively safely) stretch to the size in the photos in a little over 2 years and to my current size in just under 3 years.
